On October 14, 2017, U.S. Consul General Elizabeth Kennedy Trudeau inaugurated a new laboratory unit and solar energy system at the Bali Memorial School in Ladheke Bhullar village in Lahore. USAID Provincial Director for Punjab Lea Swanson and COP SGAFP accompanied the Consul General. Members from the school’s teaching faculty, students’ parents, and representatives from the government, were also present at the occasion.
stablished through a grant awarded by USAID, the new unit has three science laboratories and a computer laboratory. All are powered by a renewable energy system. . This initiative stands to benefit over 500 students by improving the school infrastructure through installation of solar panels, provision of furniture, and up gradation of computer laboratory, science laboratories & technical training workshops.
